iDisguise - iPod Theft PreventionEver have your iPod stolen? Hopefully not. But if you have, or better yet even if you haven’t and don’t want to, you may want to check out this cool new idea from iDisguise.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 98% of portable electronic theft occurs during a time when the device is stored or not in use. To help prevent tempted wandering eyes, iDisguise has developed a line of mint tin cases for your iPod. Currently, the tins only work with the iPod Nano and shuffle, but iDisguise hopes to release new tins that will also conceal the larger versions of your iPod. Each tin will have a limited production run, with the styles changing regularly to help prevent recognition by thieves.

The iDisguise tin for your iPod Nano runs about $10, and While there is still no guarantee that your devices won’t be stolen, with a little effort and a candy tin, you will greatly reduce your chances. Altoids, anyone?
