Wearfone

It would seem that iconic Dick Tracy watch may soon become a reality. According to this Finnish website, an entrepreneur by the name of Taito Heikkinen is working on a cell phone watch. The Wearfone will be much more than just a simple watch that doubles as a cell phone. Taito Heikkinen has big plans for this watch/cell phone invention.
From what I can read from the translation off the Finnish site, the Wearfone will use touch screen technology to offer up some very advanced features. Think mini iPhone, but with less features and about the size of a nice Rolex watch. The watch will be able to send and receive calls, tell time, display a calendar, and even send short text messages. How you will be able to type anything on that small of a screen is beyond me. I think though, that you can hook up the watch to your computer for sending longer messages, but who wants to do that?
Orginally, Taito Heikkinen was hoping to have the Wearfone out by Christmas, but it doesn’t look like this will be happening. Apparently, they are having trouble getting all the parts made for device because nothing of this nature has ever been made this small. So figuring out how to get so much technology in such a small package has been a challenge.
What do you think about the Wearfone? Would you ever want one?
