The Super Bowl, the biggest spectacle in American Sports, is almost upon us. Many Americans will definitely be glued to their TV.

If you have planned to do the same, however, your *insert swear words here* boss has chosen those dates to send you to Timbuktu, don’t fret. There’s Slingbox AV to the rescue.

Slingbox AVSling Media’s Slingbox AV will allow you to watch your TV content wherever you are. Yes, even in Timbuktu. If you have internet connection, of course.

Slingbox allows you to view the content of your video sources (TV, cable, sattelite or TiVo) from your computer. It connects the TV source to an Ethernet router. PVRs and cable boxes allows you to switch the channels. A software that is intalled to your computer is connected to the Slingbox and provides you the interface to watch TV and change channels.

The resulting video stream may not be high definition but the quality is passable enough to keep you glued in front of your monitor.

To find out more about the computer and network requirements, check here.

$179.99, Sling Media

With the Slingbox AV, you wouldn’t have to miss any of the Super Bowl XLI games on CBS.
