The Other Side of iPhone

apple iphoneIt has been talked about for the longest time that many actually thought that Mr. Snaffalafagus was using the iPhone.

They were proven wrong when Steve Jobs finally unveiled Apple’s iPhone to the public last Tuesday over at MacWorld 2007.

Imagine everyone’s (including yours truly) frenzied online search for a picture, a video, anything about the iPhone when word got out that it was finally brought out. People gushed. People whined that they had to wait that long. People in Europe and Asia whined about the much delayed release in their areas.

And, in the background, people also nitpicked (just as people are supposed to do when talking about a $499 gadget)…

Newlaunches pointed out the iPhone’s 5 technical drawbacks. (1) dated 2 Megapixel Camera (2) Battery Life (3) Lack of Expansion Slot (4) No 3G (5) Non-removable battery. More about these here

The TechWeb says it has more drawbacks for Business IT… citing lack of software flexibility, exclusivity with Cingular, platform and that there are many smart phones out in the market today. MobileGazette has the same opinion.

Almost everyone agrees with one thing, though. In the simplest of terms, we can say that the iPhone is one beautifully-designed gadget.
