Sony Recall
By Aleksi | Permalink |
Sony has put out a recall on approximately 350,000 digital cameras that were sold in China, Japan, Europe and the United States. The recall effects the Cyber Shot DSC-T5, one of the more popular selling point and shoot digital cameras. Apparently, the case may warp, causing a sharp edge to stick out and poke the user. Obviously, Sony will replace the case at no charge. The problem only affects cameras with numbers between 3500001 and 3574100, so if you own one, Sony asks that you please check the serial numbers before you attempt to have the repair performed. About 30 customers have since reported finding the defect, saying they received small cuts and scratches from it.
