SensorFreshQ

SensorfreshQIf you’re worried about getting some bad food when you’re on vacation somewhere, and don’t want to spend the rest of the trip locked into your hotel room sick you may want to check this out.

In less than a minute, this little sensor, known as the SensorFreshQ is supposed to be able to tell you how fresh an uncooked bit of meat or poultry is. May be pretty handy when you’re out shopping, as long as the owner of the store doesn’t mind you holding some weird looking gadget to all his different cuts of meat.

The device works by “sniffing” the air that is around the meat, which senses the bacteria and gasses that are put off my aging meat. A fairly simple concept, but something that we either don’t want, or cannot do.

Will it save you from getting sick? Maybe or maybe not, but at least you’ll know it wasn’t the meat.
