iPod docks with built in speakers and portable iPod speakers are nothing new. iPod accessories have been flooding the market since its introduction. With the exception of the high grade accessories, most of them are crap. This is especially true when it comes to the portable iPod speakers. Most have poor sound quality, don’t get very loud, and involve several sets of wires. Thanks to the MINT 220 Digital Music Station though, you can get excellent sound quality and no wires for a very affordable price.
Now that I have your attention, it is important to note that the MINT 220 Digital Music Station isn’t your average iPod speaker. At first glance it may look like every other iPod speaker/dock combo out there. In some since this is true, but the MINT 220 Digital Music Station has a super cool secret weapon.
The MINT 220 Digital Music Station comes with a small USB stick that plugs into your laptop or desktop and lets you play music from your computer through the iPod speaker. The wireless range of the device is 45 feet. This means you could have your iPod speaker setup in the living room with your TV, but pull music from your computer in the office. Of course, if you want you can load the iPod onto the speakers iPod dock.
I think the MINT 220 Digital Music Station is a cool setup. Especially for people who like to take their iPod with them everywhere. I use my iPod in the car on a daily basis and dont want to bothered to go out to the car when I want to hear music that’s on my iPod. With the MINT 220 Digital Music Station I can have my music at my fingertips any time I want.
