iPhone in England
By Aleksi | Permalink |The latest craze to sweep the American tech market has now made the jump overseas. On November 9th, 2007, the Apple iPhone will be available in England on the O2 Network, which will become the exclusive service provider. In a news conference held in London, the CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, announced that the 8 gig version will be for sale for 269 pounds, ($536). When asked if the release in England is a look into further releases around Europe, Jobs declined comment, saying “We’ve said we’ll be in a few countries in Europe next quarter. As we roll those out, I’m sure you’ll hear about it.”

The iPhone has scored the highest on Apple’s customer service rating system out of any previous Apple product, including the iPod, with 85% of customers saying they would recommend it to a friend. If this continues across Europe, the iPhone could turn out to be the best selling electrical gadget in our lifetime.
