DeLorme has introduced Earthmate GPS PN-20, the very first handheld GPS which can display both DeLorme maps and aerial imagery.

Specifications:

• HiRes 220×176 pixel transflective color screen
• with 75MB internal flash memory
• with an SD card slot that can work with 2GB or less cards
• in waterproof rubberized housing
• measures just 2.43″ W x 5.25″ H x 1.5″ D and weighs only 5.12 oz.
• 12-channel, NMEA-compliant receiver includes STMicroelectronics chip technology with SiGE front-end noise reduction
• WAAS-enabled
• Includes DeLorme Topo USA(r) 6.0 DVD software which has detailed US topographic and roadmaps. regional routable maps, free downloads of scanned USGS, quad maps, black-and-white aerial imagery and colorized satellite imagery

Simply put, with the Earthmate GPS PN-20, you will never get lost again.

Many of those who had their hands on Earthmate GPS PN-20 were impressed. It is not perfect, though. GPS review said that the interface is slow and that some aerial images aren’t as good as what, say, Google maps has.

Despite that, Earthmate GPS PN-20 still remains as the best GPS in the market. For now.
