Apple faces second class-action lawsuit

By Aleksi | Permalink | No Comments | August 17th, 2007 | Trackback

Yes, Apple has again been sued about the iPhone. Sydney Leung is accusing Apple, and AT&T for that matter, of purposely not disclosing the battery life expectancy of the iPhone to customers. Leung is being represented by lawyers Arthur Lazear and Max Folkenflik, and similar to the previous lawsuit by Jose Trujillo in Illinois.

Leung and his attorneys are claiming that the battery will last roughly 300 complete charges before needing to be replaced, and due to it’s sealed compartment, it cannot be exchanged by a 3rd party without voiding Apple’s warranty. The projected cost is around $100 a year in battery maintenance, along with a three day turnaround.
