Amazon is exclusive dealer for 30GB Red Zune Media Player

Apple has iPod, Microsoft has Zune. Without opening the can of worms that is the Microsoft vs. Apple debate, we’re just going to bring this to your attention.

Right now via Amazon.com, you can get exclusive rights to purchase the special Red Zune Digital Media Player. Why do you want a Zune? It’s simple. Instead of just having a large capacity MP3 player, the Zune can actually allow you to share your songs and files wirelessly to other Zune users. The catch to this is that if you want to listen to an entire song, you CAN have it wirelessly beamed to your device, but you are only allowed to listen to it three times over three days before the song is deleted. Obviously Zune doesn’t want to condone music sharing, and this is a cool idea tackling an ongoing debate over the ethics of file sharing.

Red Zune

The Red Zune comes with a 30gb hard drive, and access to another cool feature that Zune users can take advantage of. Similar to Apple’s iTunes Store, the Zune Marketplace allows users to purchase single songs as well as albums for set prices, but it also allows users to pay a flat rate subscription fee each month and be able to download an unlimited amount of songs. This would probably be a good idea for someone who hasn’t really developed their music library and is seeking to expand it.

The last reason why you should consider a Zune from Amazon is because if you purchase one from Amazon.com (NOT AN AFFILIATE SELLING THROUGH AMAZON) before July 2nd, you will receive a free Zune dock.

Get a Zune from Amazon.com for $249 with free shipping and Zune dock.
